It. Steinberger, EVOLUTION OF ELECTRON-ENERGY BANDS IN SIMPLE FLUIDS, Journal de chimie physique et de physico-chimie biologique, 90(4), 1993, pp. 681-697
This is a review on recent experiments and theories on electronic stat
es in fluid argon, krypton and xenon, as well as in some fluids of hig
hly symmetric organic molecules. The emphasis is on the changes that o
ccur upon the gradual increase of the density from the dilute gas to t
he triple-point liquid. The energy V0 of the conduction electrons, the
ir mobility, excitons as well as effective masses are discussed.
