Abstract
Interactions of OH. or N3. radicals with N-acetylcysteine (RSH) have b een studied in neutral aqueous solutions using steady-state radiolysis . Initial G values of disappearance of RSH have been determined for a range of RSH concentrations between 3 x 10(-5) and 10(-3) mol l-1. The OH. or N3. radicals react quantitatively with N-acetylcysteine. A rea ction scheme is proposed.
