Magnetic measurements were performed on (Y1-xZrx)Co3 compounds, in the
temperature range 5-700 K and external fields up to 70 kOe. The satur
ation magnetizations and Curie temperatures decrease when increasing z
irconium content. Above the Curie points the reciprocal susceptibiliti
es follow Curie-Weiss type behaviour. The paramagnetic Curie temperatu
res are negative for x > 0.35 and positive for smaller zirconium conte
nt. The mean effective cobalt moments increase when increasing zirconi
um content. The magnetic data are analyzed in a spin fluctuation model
.
