Abstract
The coordination of a water molecule, bridging two distal phenolate an ions of the tetrasulphonated calix[4]arene 1,3-dicarboxylic acid, has a remarkable influence on the acid base and inclusion properties of th e ditopic receptor. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
