The absolute cross section of the fusion reaction B-10(p,alpha1gamma)B
e-7 has been measured at the c.m. energy range E = 48 to 159 keV via t
he 429 keV secondary gamma-ray transition. The studies involved high p
roton currents and thick solid B-10 targets. The resulting cross secti
ons have the same energy dependence as those of the B-10(p,alpha0)Be-7
reaction but they are lower by a factor 600.
