Abstract
Transition metal substituted phosphoranes undergo carbonyl substitutio n reactions with phosphorus donor to give apparently cis-substituted p roducts. There is no evidence for CO insertion into the pentacoordinat e P-Mn bond: The reactions have been monitored by infrared spectroscop y and the isolated products have been characterized by elemental analy sis and TG studies.
