Ts. Lobana et al., STRUCTURAL STUDIES OF COPPER(II) COMPLEXES WITH TRIPHENYLPHOSPHINE OXIDE, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. A: Inorganic, physical, theoretical & analytical, 36(1), 1997, pp. 82-83
The solid-state reactions of copper(II) chloride dihydrate and dimeric
copper(II) acetate dihydrate with triphenylphosphine oxide (Ph,PO), h
ave been studied using infrared and X-band ESR spectroscopy. The solid
mixtures are heated in air for 1 h in the temperature range 60-180 de
grees C(+/- 2 degrees C) and each sample is cooled to room temperature
(35 degrees C) before record ing their spectra. The data suggest the
formation of CuCI2(OPPh(3))(OH2), CuCl2(OPPh(3))(2) and [Cu(OOCCH3)(2)
(OPPh(3))](2) complexes.
