Jl. Volakis et al., HYBRID FINITE-ELEMENT METHODOLOGIES FOR ANTENNAS AND SCATTERING, IEEE transactions on antennas and propagation, 45(3), 1997, pp. 493-507
This paper is an overview of the finite-element method (FEM) as applie
d to electromagnetic scattering and radiation problems. A brief review
of the methodology is given with particular emphasis on new developme
nts over the past five years relating to feed modeling, parallelizatio
n, and mesh truncation, New applications which illustrate the method's
capabilities, versatility, and utility for general purpose applicatio
n are discussed.
