Sb. Degweker et M. Srinivasan, STATISTICS OF TIME-CORRELATED PULSES IN THE PRESENCE OF A NON-EXTENDIBLE DEAD-TIME, Annals of nuclear energy, 20(7), 1993, pp. 463-475
Obtaining the statistics of time-correlated detector pulses in the pre
sence of a non-extendible dead time is a difficult theoretical problem
. A theory developed recently by the authors to tackle such problems i
s extended further to derive expressions for the probability distribut
ion of counts in count triggered and randomly triggered intervals, the
m-fold interval distribution between counts, the two time probability
function f2 and the variance of the number of counts. The theoretical
variance thus obtained is compared with experimental measurements and
Monte Carlo simulations.
