The main parameters of electrical relaxation such as activation energi
es, time constants and characteristic frequencies are evaluated separa
tely for a homocharge and a heterocharge by processing experimental da
ta on isothermal and thermostimulated depolarization of a charged pola
r dielectric in terms of the electret model. An important role of the
homocharge in retention of the strong residual polarization is proved.
