Abstract
Titanium dioxide hydrosols of identical chemical composition were synt hesized from titanium tetrabutoxide by three procedures. The identity of the colloidal properties of the prepared sols indicates their equil ibrium nature. The possible structure of equilibrium sols was discusse d. The sols were found to undergo reversible coagulation on addition o f strong electrolytes. The ranges of principal parameters determining the sol existence region were estimated.
