Abstract
We present a new digital feedback application for the study of sensiti vity characteristics of biological photoreceptors. The voltage respons e of a cell is controlled by feeding back to the stimulating LED-via t he controller-the recorded membrane voltage. The light intensity chang es represent the change in the sensitivity of the photoreceptors, reve aling the time course of adaptation.
