Abstract
We have cloned the human growth arrest-specific gene GAS3 cDNA that en codes a transmembrane glycoprotein, the peripheral myelin protein 22 ( PMP22). GAS3/PMP22 is implicated in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1 A, an inherited peripheral neuropathy.
