Necessary conditions are given for an extremum (in the form of a Pontr
yagin maximum principle) for almost-periodic (a.p.) optimal control pr
oblems, and these conditions are automatically satisfied by convexifie
d problems. The importance of studying the optimal control problem for
a.p. motions of dynamical systems was noted in [1-3]. Such problems a
ppear in many applications, (see for example [4-7]), and also [8] whic
h is devoted to the problem of a.p. optimization.
