Ka. Gingerich et al., THE ENTHALPY OF FORMATION OF THE C6 MOLECULE FROM MASS-SPECTROMETRIC EQUILIBRIUM MEASUREMENTS, Chemical physics letters, 207(1), 1993, pp. 23-26
The equilibrium between graphite and C6(g) has been investigated by Kn
udsen effusion mass spectrometry at temperatures between 2630 and 2810
K. Together with thermal functions calculated from experimental and t
heoretical molecular parameters for the linear cumulenic structure, th
e third law enthalpy of formation, DELTAH(f,0) = 1312 +/- 18 kJ mol-1
and the atomization energy DELTAH(a,0) = 2955 +/- 20 kJ mol-1, have be
en obtained.
