Abstract
A novel, in-line, polarimetric fibre interrogator for 'white-light' in terferometry is described. It consists of two equal lengths of polaris ation-maintaining fibre, spliced with their polarisation axes orthogon al. The interferometer path difference is thermally tuned over the fre e-space equivalent of +/- 180 mum to allow matching to a remote sensor interferometer.
