Abstract
Recent work reports the usefulness of radionuclides in the study of he patic hemangiomas. In particular, Tc-99m-red blood cell (RBC) scintigr aphy is useful to evaluate the vascularization and to plan the therapy . The aim of this paper is to confirm the usefulness of Tc-99m-RBC sca ns in the detection and follow-up of maxillofacial hemangiomas. Result s using this technique in a selected group of patients with maxillofac ial hemangiomas are reported.
