Abstract
This paper reviews some of the differences between dispersive and Four ier transform (FT) Raman spectroscopy with the goal of highlighting so me of the advantages and disadvantages of FT-Raman spectroscopy. In pa rticular, the use of filters, Connes advantage, trading rules and the size of the multiplex and throughput advantages are discussed.
