Abstract
Phase diagram studies have revealed that benzamide forms a simple eute ctic with beta-naphthol. Linear velocity of crystallization and heat o f fusion measurements have shown that the eutectic does not follow the mixture law. Microstructural studies have shown that the microstructu re of the mixtures depend on the composition, the degree of undercooli ng and the nature of impurities.
