Abstract
In the east suburbs of Lyon, caracterised with a large ethnic variety, measle, rubella and mumps vaccination coverage of children aged 6 yea rs old is respectively 78 %, 77 % and 65 %. No relation was found betw een the vaccination coverage, ethnics and the social and professional status of parents. The absence of vaccination is more frequent within families whose father is absent. Those vaccinations are mainly achieve d by the childhood protection service (39 %) and the general pratician (24 %). Type of vaccination is sex-related. This study allows local p romotion of trivalent vaccinations according to the social context. A complementary study is necessary in order to check the vaccinal status of children which could not be included in this first study.
