669 cases of tetanus treated at the Cracovie University hospital betwe
en 1960 and 1989 are being reviewed. A vaccination campaign involving
children and military personnel had started in 1962. Intensive care te
chniques were made available these last few years. The changes in epid
emiology and prognosis are brought forth to demonstrate the impact of
these measures on tetanus in Poland and the remaining efforts to be ac
complished.
