Multiple lymphomatous polyposis is an uncommon but distinctive form of
gastrointestinal lymphoma. Clinical symptoms may closely resemble tho
se of colorectal carcinoma and diagnostic confusion may result. The co
ndition has a characteristic pathological appearance and immunophenoty
pe which is important in allowing distinction from other less aggressi
ve forms of gastrointestinal lymphoma. We report a case of this unusua
l condition in which the diagnosis was aided by fine needle aspiration
cytology.
