Abstract
Ethylcellulose films were cast from different solvents with the solven ts being characterized by their cohesion parameters. Investigations on the structure of the films lead to the conclusion, that the differenc e of cohesion parameters between solvent and polymer is decisive for t he film properties. Furthermore, the influence of molar volume and coh esion parameters of active substances on their solubility in polymer f ilms is discussed. It may be possible to control the permeability of f ilms by their cohesion parameters.
