Abstract
A compact multiplexed sensor fluxgate magnetometer capable of displayi ng the X, Y and Z components as well as the intensity, inclination and declination of a magnetic field is described. Control of the switchin g sequence, the arithmetic and the display is effected with a micropro cessor-based unit. The instrument works on rechargeable batteries with 8 h continuous operation between charges and weighs about 2 kg.
