Abstract
Two independent molecules in the unit cell are the same enantiomer of the title compound but possess slightly different conformations. Both conformers are joined by H-bonds to one water molecule. The configurat ion at C11 was established as R. Crystal data: C14H19O3N x 1/2H2O; tri gonal, P3(2); a = 17.486(2), b = 17.486(2), c = 8.024(1) angstrom; V = 2124.72(6) angstrom3; Z = 6; lambda(CuKalpha) = 1.54178 angstrom; F(0 00) = 834; final R = 0.0495 for 2376 reflections (of 2747 unique data) .
