Abstract
Ascospore appendage ultrastructure is described for Remispora crispa, Remispora quadriremis, and Remispora stellata. The polar appendages ar e exuded through pores in the polar episporium and become extensions o f the episporium. This form of appendage is compared with that reporte d for other species of Remispora and with other members of the Halosph aeriales.
