Abstract
This paper establishes verifiable conditions ensuring the important no tion of metric regularity for general nondifferentiable programming pr oblems in Banach spaces. These conditions are used to obtain Lagrange- Kuhn-Tucker multipliers for minimization problems with infinitely many inequality and equality constraints.
