Abstract
Irritability, angry affect, and aggressive behavior are commonly assoc iated with cocaine abuse. The authors describe neurobiological mechani sms that may explain this association. They also recommend guidelines for the assessment and treatment of patients who display cocaine-relat ed aggressive activity.
