I. Rosenberg et al., SYNTHESIS OF OLIGODEOXYNUCLEOTIDES CONTAINING THE C-NUCLEOSIDE AND 2'-DEOXY-2'-FLUORO-ARA-NUCLEOSIDE MOIETIES BY THE H-PHOSPHONATE METHOD, Nucleosides & nucleotides, 12(3-4), 1993, pp. 381-401
A module type, computer-controlled, multipurpose synthesizer displayin
g a novel device for the transport of liquids, was constructed and use
d in the synthesis of oligomers containing some C-nucleosides and 2'-d
eoxy-2'-fluoro-ara-nucleoside moieties. H-Phosphonate method was appli
ed in terms of a further adjustment of construction features of the sy
nthesizer versus chemistry of the process. Results of preliminary stud
ies on the effects of the modified nucleosides on the stability of dup
lexes showed a clear tendency of destabilization of duplexes in the ca
se of C-nucleosides while fluorinated nucleosides in most cases stabil
ize the formed duplexes.
