Segmental dilatation of intestine (SDI) is a rare disorder that leads
to functional obstruction without stenosis and normally functioning ga
nglion cells. The etiology of the disease is unknown. Definitive treat
ment consists of segmental resection of the dilated segment with end-t
o-end anastomosis.
