Abstract
The lawsuits filed by the publisher Gordon and Breach against the auth or and publishers of serials pricing surveys have caused great concern in the library and academic communities. The events that led up to an d followed the lawsuits are recounted. Reactions to the lawsuits from the library community are summarized.
