Abstract
The influence of gas injection and the structure of permeable material s on the heat transfer and flow pattern in the vicinity of the critica l point of an axisymmetric body in a high-temperature gas flow is inve stigated experimentally. The factors responsible for intensification o f heat transfer are analyzed and a physical model is proposed.
