Ma. Long et Je. Boultbee, CASE-REPORT - THE TRANSABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND APPEARANCES OF A COLOVESICAL FISTULA, British journal of radiology, 66(785), 1993, pp. 465-467
When the clinical manifestations of colovesical fistulae lack diagnost
ic features, significant may result. The literature contains conflicti
ng recommendations regarding the optimal method of imaging such fistul
ae. We describe the transabdominal ultrasound appearances of a coloves
ical fistula and review the relevant literature. The identification of
the ureteric orifices with their associated urinary jets and the use
of abdominal compression are essential components of the technique.
