Abstract
Outgassing characteristics of unbaked and baked Au electroplated alloy Palladec 21 were studied at 135-degrees-C in a vacuum of 1 x 10(-6) m bar in the experimental system, which was constructed and built for th is purpose at IEVT The aim of this work was to determine their suitabi lity for use as electrical contacts of miniature hermetic relays. AES depth profile analysis revealed that the oxide layer on the Au electro plated Palladec 21 alloy at these conditions is negligible.
