Ml. Lucia et al., GRANULARITY EFFECTS IN TRANSPORT-PROPERTIES OF 123 SUPERCONDUCTING THIN-FILMS, Journal of alloys and compounds, 195(1-2), 1993, pp. 635-638
Superconducting 123 thin films have been produced by RF sputtering wit
h different morphologies. A study is presented of the transport proper
ties (J(c)(T,H)) and the AC diamagnetic screening characteristics for
the different samples. Granular films show critical currents two order
s of magnitude smaller than textured films at 77 K. This has been expl
ained in terms of the presence of oxygen deficient phases in the inter
granular regions.
