Eb. Goldsmith et al., INSIGHTS INTO THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF PARENTS CAREERS ON REPORTED PARENT-OFFSPRING CLOSENESS, Journal of employment counseling, 30(2), 1993, pp. 50-54
This Study examined the effects of career-family orientation, hours wo
rked per week, and salary level on parent-offspring closeness as perce
ived by offspring. Results show that how close offspring felt toward t
heir parents was directly related to their parents' family-versus-care
er orientation.
