Abstract
The problems of testing aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) include deter mining the amount of product leaking, accuracy of testing method, and leak location in a tank. Several different methods are currently being used to determine the integrity of an AST. One test method used and r ested in the field, the mass integrity method, is reviewed in which th e mass of a fluid is calculated from a pressure reading at the bottom of the tank.
