Ms. Ryabova et al., FILLING PROCESS FOR SILOXANE RUBBER AT THE (INSITU) HARDENING STAGE, Journal of applied chemistry of the USSR, 65(6), 1992, pp. 1152-1158
The filling process mechanisms at the in situ hardening stage for SKTN
-A liquid dimethylsiloxane rubber (K-18 hardener) have been examined.
Rheological and IR spectroscopic techniques, both in the absence and t
he presence of SKTN, have been used to study the hydrolytic condensati
on reaction of ethyl silicate (filler formation reaction) catalyzed by
tin diethyldicaprylate. Experimental data are presented concerning in
situ filling acceleration at high K-1.8 concentrations with the diphe
nyldichlorosilane (DPDCS) added as the rubber inhibitor.
