Abstract
The influence of compressibility on a subsonic axisymmetric shear flow
over a slender prolate spheroid is studied by the M0(2) expansion met
hod where M0 denotes the Mach number on the body axis. Especially, the
value of the reciprocal of a dimensionless vorticity parameter which
denotes the dividing stream detached from the slender body is obtained
in terms of the slenderness ratio and the Mach number.
