Abstract
Non-planar force field calculations for benzoyl chloride have been car ried out using the earlier reported data Of CONDIT et al. [Appl. Spect rosc. 28, 420 (1974)]. A 16 force constants field has been uniquely de termined using the observed fundamentals of the normal and deuterated species. It has been found that the earlier proposed vibrational assig nments for some of the frequencies need to be altered. Moreover, the m agnitudes of some of the fundamentals have also been altered.
