Abstract
The connected Hamiltonian moments [H(n)]c of the one-dimensional s = 1 /2 Heisenberg model with respect to the Neel state are calculated up t o n = 17. Subsequent calculation of the Hamiltonian moments [H(n)] all ows the first nine iterations of the Lanczos diagonalisation to be det ermined analytically for arbitrary lattice size.
