Abstract
The C-12(p, gamma)N-13 cross section in the neighbourhood of the E(p) = 0.46 MeV peak has been measured using thin and thick targets, and fi tted using R-matrix formulae. The best value for the radiation width o f the first excited state of N-13 is 0.53+/-0.05 eV. Reanalysis of ear lier thick-target data gives values consistent with this result.
