The complexes of the formulae [MLCl3]Cl, [ML'Cl3]Cl (M = Ti); ML2 {whe
re M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II); L = isonitrosoacetophenone t
hiosemicarbazone (INAPT) and L'= isonitroso-4-chloroacetophenone thios
emicarbazone} have been prepared and characterized on the basis of ele
mental analysis, conductance, magnetic moments, IR, electronic and NMR
spectral data. In all the complexes the ligand is coordinated to the
central metal ion through 'S' (>C = S)'N'(N-OH)after deprotonation and
'N'(C = N) as shown by IR and NMR spectral studies.
