Three studies were performed on the subject of collaborative learning
for students. One of the studies addressed collaborative learning for
nursing students and the other two addressed collaborative learning fo
r computer science students. All of the studies investigated novel met
hods of teaching and learning with emphasis being placed on interactio
n between students. Results from these studies showed that when studen
ts learned collaboratively, they were better able to formulate concret
e ideas about the subject material and to eliminate misconceptions.
