Abstract
The installation of electronic monitoring systems has many problems an d pitfalls that are not obvious. If these problems aren't carefully ad dressed by management, not only will productivity suffer, but the orga nization could be susceptible to legal and financial liabilities. This paper examines electronic monitoring in an effort to outline the crit ical issues that impact the effectiveness of these systems. Specific i mplementation guidelines are provided.
