Abstract
Impaired renal function was observed in sixteen Aotus nancymai 25 and 3 months following infection with the Uganda Palo Alto strain of Plasm odium falciparum- Decrease were noted in the clearance of endogenous c reatinine, creatinine excretion, and urine volume while increases were observed in serum urea nitrogen, urine protein, urine potassium, frac tional excretion of phosphorus and potassium, and activities of urinar y enzymes. The results were suggestive of glomerulonephropathy and chr onic renal disease.
