Pm. Wilde et al., GENERATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SUPPORTED FILMS OF TRANSITION-METAL AND RARE-EARTH-METAL OXIDE CATALYSTS, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 346(1-3), 1993, pp. 383-388
The generation of catalytically relevant metal and/or metal oxide comp
ounds supported on silica fibres is described. The systems investigate
d are Ni-degrees, Cu-degrees, Cu-degrees/ZnO, as well as perovskite-ty
pe La/Fe, La/Ni and La/Mn oxide phases. Ultrasound-aided generated vap
ours containing dissolved metal salt precursors are transferred onto p
reheated quartz fibres and transformed into the catalytically relevant
phases by subsequent calcination. Analytical SEM and X-ray diffractio
n reveals the presence of differently crystalline, rough surfaces. The
influence of the precursor salt and the conditions of calcination on
the formation of the supported catalysts is discussed.
