M. Dionisio et al., DIPOLAR RELAXATION BEHAVIOR IN POLY(METHYL METHACRYLATE) 4-NITROANILINE SOLID-SOLUTIONS, Polymer international, 32(2), 1993, pp. 145-151
In the present paper the dielectric properties of solid solutions of 4
-nitroaniline in a poly(methyl methacrylate) matrix have been measured
in the frequency range 20-10(6) Hz and the obtained data have been co
mpared with those for pure poly(methyl methacrylate). It is shown that
the presence of the solute has a strong influence on the relaxation p
rocess of the polymer and this is ascribed to the formation of hydroge
n bonds between the amino group of the solute and acetate side groups
of the polymer.
