Abstract
Models usable for the prediction of retention time and peak width in i sothermal and isopycnic separations performed by open tubular column S FC are presented. It is shown that a small number of experiments, four dead time and four retention time/peak width measurements, are enough to provide accurate predictions. The accuracy of the models is evalua ted with compounds having different molecular weight, size and functio nality in different parts of the accessible experimental domain.
