Abstract
We describe a patient with recurrent ventricular arrhythmias post ante rior myocardial infarction who stabilised following intra-aortic ballo on counterpulsation. Antiarrhythmic drugs and continuous ventricular p acing were ineffective. The possible mechanisms of the improvement wit h counterpulsation and other treatment options are discussed.
